While a typical photo is a two dimensional representation of a single instant, these pictures are a combination of varied perspectives of the same scene at different moments in time. They are composites of many photos selectively overlaid. The result is a fundamental change in the nature of the images. They begin to resemble paintings. They simultaneously display multiple points of view and are embedded with motion.

About

Style is a skill that evolves slowly. Through many years as a photographer and director of photography in the San Francisco Bay Area I've been able to explore framing, lighting and art direction. Partnering with clients like Sony PlayStation, HBO, NBC Sports, American Masters and Apple I've been able to experiment with techniques that emulate classic styles or reach forward into cutting edge looks.
The pictures above are the result of a combination of shooting, lighting and Photoshop skills developed over many years. My goal was to use photography to create painterly images.  Images that make viewers uncertain of what they are seeing. Wanting to look closer to figure it out. After all, isn't that the point of art?
